Let me know how it goes if you do get a chance to check it out.

I actually like the story idea a lot. Some times I come up with crazy story ideas but they are just not enough to stand alone. I spend forever trying to make a whole story and I can't. So I just push it aside and hope an opportunity arises when I can use it. If I did a story about everyday life and had daydreams of the ideas I come up with, that would be a interesting way of finally using some of those ideas.
I might have to give it a try. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the idea!Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14830332078593192792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12793452.post-1149075237974330882006-05-31T07:33:00.000-04:002006-05-31T07:33:00.000-04:00Thanks to you and your articles, I'm probably goin...Thanks to you and your articles, I'm probably going to a comic book convention in Scranton on June 25. I picked up the latest issue of Wizard, flipped to the listings in the back, and there it was!

I'm thinking you could do an American Splendor-style comic book that out-Pekars Pekar (who, I think, is basically writing a blog in comic form): A comic book that tells the story of your "quotidian life" (to use his phrase) working in a shoe store, writing articles for money, dealing with all the things you deal with on a daily basis, all interspersed with pages of comic book ideas you are developing, almost in a Walter Mitty-daydreaming non-sequiteur style. (The middle of a day of shoe sales is interrupted by a story of a team of superheroes doing this or that...only themselves to be interrupted by the next customer.)

I dunno. Maybe that's something you'd be interested in. I think you might find that it's something that lots of other people would be interested in reading.D.B.
